Tink has always been wrong. Not different, but wrong. While she dreams of wings and granting wishes she knows that will never happen. When every other girl around her has a way with plants, water, and other means of creation, Tink struggles to keep even a single bloom alive. Weeds tend to grow in her wake when she walks across the lush ground, and flowers close up as she walks by. Her gift of fire is so rare among fairies that no one has even thought to test in, and Tinkerbell’s immense power lays untouched. She feels like a failure to her kind; they don’t hesitate to remind her of it either. Then in a blink of an eye Tink was right. When a young boy named Peter stumbled into the island looking for sanctuary, Tink took it as her personal responsibility to keep him safe and provide for him. Even when every other fairy on the island wants him gone. Not without good reason, Peter was followed by a band of pirates lead by Captain Hook. Tink cannot give up her friendship with Peter Pan. He is the only one that sees value in her. As they grow closer, Tink finds herself feeling things she has never felt before: passion, belief in a brighter future. But a foreign girl may send her right back to square one and awaken the fire – true, burning heat – that is the very soul of this fairy.
