I didn't expect much when I accepted the housekeeping job at the grand estate. Just a place to work quietly, clean in peace, and maybe save enough money to get my own place. But I wasn't told that the owner never left the house. Or that he wore a mask to hide the scar on his face. Or that he hadn't smiled in over a year.
They warned me he was cold. Angry. Impossible to be around.
But they didn't tell me about the way he looks out the window when it rains, or how carefully he feeds the stray cat that visits the garden. They didn't mention how much pain hides behind his silence-or how beautiful he looks when he finally lets his guard down.
He saved someone who didn't love him enough to stay.
Now he lives like he doesn't deserve to be loved at all.
But I see him.
And I'm not afraid of his scar.
Even if he pushes me away. Even if he wears a mask.
I know there's something worth saving behind it.
And maybe, just maybe... he's starting to believe that too.

The war is over. Everyone is back to life as it used to be, but not everyone. Draco Malfoy cannot handle the guilt he feels any longer. He lives like a zombie, until his beloved mother cannot handle it any longer and sends him to a clinic to get the help he so desperately needs. But recovery is not the only thing he finds in the clinic. Harry Potter might be the real hero who saved everyone from Lord Voldemort, but he certainly does not feel that way. He cannot sleep but when he does the nightmares hunt him. The pain he feels and the fears he has almost kill the boy who lived. Until one day his girlfriend cannot handle it any longer and sends him to a clinic to get the help he so desperately needs. But recovery is not the only thing he finds in the clinic. *** I feel like I should give some warnings. This book contains a few things that I should probably warn you for (in the first chapter you can find more warnings) : - It is obviously a boyxboy story so if you do not feel comfortable reading a story with a homosexual theme please do not read the story. - It will contain mental illnesses and I do not want you to read another word of this book if you know your sensitive for this kind of things. Your mental health is way too important to take any risks! - And last of all, the story will probably contain a lot of grammar mistakes. You see, English is not my first language and this is actually my first English written story so please do not hate me if I make any mistakes. I want to emphasize that I do not support the fact that some people are romanticizing mental ilnesses out there. I woke up on the hard ground, snow falling all around me, everything seemed perfect, for just those few minutes between dreams and reality, right and wrong, light and dark. I let a smile spread across my face as the flakes fell around us under the cloudy morning light, making everything look like a snow globe. Then I remembered, my brother was gone, with one of my best friends and my brother in law. The whole Weasley family was sleeping in my house because they couldn't go home, and I was cold. I opened my eyes to see George sleeping soundly with his forehead rested against mine, this was one of the few things that plastered that smile right back on my face, one look into his eyes and I can forget all the tears mine have cried. One kiss to his lips took away the memories of the screams mine have held. One embrace could melt away the sadness of the thought that I'll never hug my father again. Because he knew, he knew how broken I was, yet he chose to love my broken pieces anyways, to help me pick them up, to help me keep what was not yet broken protected.
