Deception

Many would agree that the beginning of a tale is the hardest part, but once the wheels begin to turn everything simply falls into place. So I won’t bother myself with intertwining this wonderful opening statement full of similes, metaphors, and all the frilly things of literature. I’ll just skip to the core and tell the story outwards, like people should.

My best friend’s dead, even though many Lifetime movies would place me as the key suspect, I’m not. My “boyfriend” is. How’s that for an opening statement?
