the Prince and the Pauper retelling with the romance elements of Lady and the Tramp. 

 Mario is tired of his life as a prince. Getting tired of putting on a forced smile to the rude rulers and never having time for his own thing, he just wants a day to be someone else. Luigi on the other hand just came into town. From kingdom to kingdom, Luigi just wants to stay in one place to work and call home. With no job wanting to hire the poor Luigi, he goes to the castle. There the two lost twins learn about one another and come up with a plan. One wants freedom and the other wants comfort, why not just trade lives? What's the worst that can happen?

He brought Mario, Peach, and 3 Toads with him. Oh, and Polterpup, too. Time skipping to where Luigi wakes up from Peach's screaming. He tried to find Peach and his brother in their rooms, but no one was there. Helen came out of the elevator and showed Luigi what she has done to his friends and brother. Helen was about to trap Luigi into the painting, but Luigi ran for his life. He went down the laundry chute. (I think that's how you spell it idk.) He was woken up by Polterpup licking his face. Luigi got up and wandered around, looking for a Plotergeist. But while he was in the laundry room, he found his old pal, King Boo. But instead of trying to capture him, King Boo was willing to help Luigi. Luigi was confused, but they both felt something for each other...
