Velvette St James is peculiar. She had known this for a long time. Actually, she and her sister have been discovered by a recruiter and brought to a loop.
But that loop isn't ordinary. They experiment on the children.
Ever since Vels sister died she has been planning to escape the loop and seek shelter in another loop set in Crainsholm, 1940.
There she meets all of Miss Peregrines wards and Jake, who later visits from the future.
But one boy catches her eye the most.
