As a member of the outcasts, Chiara and her friends are not very popular in the other realms. As the smallest star, she was driven from the prairie and hid behind the legs of the Elder of the Dusk Desert when no one else wanted her. As with many others, it had turned out that she did not belong where her origins should have been. So she grew up in her new home, safe and sheltered.
A grim message reached even this realm. The darkness in the golden wastes increases much more than one is used to. For everyone, this means an absolute ban on going out, for their own safety. That was there before and everyone had adhered to it. Nobody had a reason to do anything against this rule. There was enough sand for them to build entire castles, space to learn to fly, and if you wanted to practice dodging, set up obstacles as you needed them. They also had something the others didn't have: the Caves of Prophecy. Chiara easily crossed the water, sneaked through the maze and flew over ice. But the darkness... she could not set foot at the shrine. The others did not dare to face this test either.
But what was so bad about it, even though everyone accepted the demand? Adding to the fact that the wasteland is far away, it was unlikely that the darkness could reach the last realm unhindered. It was up to him. He is far too cautious, always informed about the situation outside of the twilight. Even he didn't leave the Twilight Wastes. This only happened when something was going on that affected all realms and one was forced to involve him...
