Maia really enjoyed her life in Atlanta. Her grandma was raising her. She saw both of her parents just as much as she liked (which wasn't often at all) she had a large room and a few friends. So, When Maia's mother Leana, who's always been pretty hands off with her decides that the pair will move to Philadelphia for Leana to pursue her medical school dreams Maia's life has been thrown into a head spin.

First of all, Maia has way more supervision than her grandma ever allowed her. Her mother is never home and she's struck up an unlikely bond with a cute boy in her computer class. Everyone has a lot to say about him but she wants to give him a chance.
