This is a rewrite of my first successful story. I apologize for any spelling errors, but I wanted to have fun with this piece. It's a mix of horror and action, and I'm not sure if it should be classified as fiction or non-fiction. I believe it may be fiction.

The Cabin
When I awoke from that wooden bed, there was a woman staring at me, the rocking chair she was sitting in rocking back in forth. Her gaze of me was sharp, a patient sharpness; a hunter's gaze. As I stood up from the creaking bed, I was able to see that I was in a cabin. The place was a dimly lit cabin, with giant candles surrounding all corners of the room, book shelves filled with countless books were on every wall, and lastly there were stairs leading to a second floor. The woman's gaze averted from me, as if she was released from a burden. On top of her lap sat a book that she started reading. the title of the book was "How To Knit A Sweater." The Woman was beautiful, her skin as white as snow, her hair long and dark. Her wrists wore leather wristbands with black skulls on them-

(edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do. Although not technically fan fiction, there is a nod to Final Fantasy games. The cover photo is a shared copyright, Brian Barbour took the photo, I added treatments.Complete

Y/N is a young, 16 year old kid. Their parents never got along very well, and Y/N would tune into Twitch streams or watch YouTube videos of their favorite MCYTs to drown out their parents fights, or to just pass the time. Y/N absolutely adored the Dream SMP and it's lore more than anything. However, Y/N was in a car accident with their parents, which resulted in their death, and Y/N's broken leg. Y/N was put into a foster system and bounced many homes within just a year. 27 homes to be exact. When Y/N was put into the foster system, their phone was shut off as nobody was able to pay for it anymore. This resulted in Y/N not being able to watch their comfort streamers anymore, which led Y/N into a depression-like state. Y/N's comfort streamers were the reason why Y/N hadn't took their own life. The people Y/N enjoyed watching the most was some people named Dream, Ranboo, Phil, Technoblade, and Wilbur Soot. Technoblade or Ranboo was probably their all-time favorite though. After all of this time, Y/N has mostly forgotten what all of the MCYTs look like, sound like, and even their names. One day, when Y/N is back in the place where all the kids wait to he fostered or adopted, two men walk in looking for a kid. No specific gender, race, or body type. Just a good kid. Y/N figures they're a lost cause since the staff kept telling the men how much of a 'rebellious little brat' they were, but then the men started talking with Y/N. Just Another Cabin In The Woods.
There's a cabin in the woods, and four teenagers. Oh did I also mention it's summer? I know how much more cliche can it get? Well, the answer is a little bit more, considering there's two girls, two guys, and maybe a couple evil spirits that need to be exorcised. But what happens as they find out the hellish secrets of the cabin, or what happens when the perfect couple in the group isn't so perfect, this cabin is more than a few evil spirits and these teens are more than just horny (well at least some of them are). What appeared as a quaint two story wooden cabin turns out to be so much more.Complete
