Was there someone who could solve such a case?
Someone mysterious yet smart enough to beat the so called God 'Kira'.
Did a detective like that really exist?
Sadly there was no one like that.
No there was no private detective smart enough to beat Kira.
All criminals had to live in fear.
Every man or woman who has committed a crime will be punished by God.
That was the general consensus growing in society.
But Professor Ayanakouji would not live in fear like the common man.
"Bring Kiyotaka to me. Tell him that I have his new assignment that he needs to complete."

An alternative spinoff of the Death Note Universe where there is no L. Instead it is Ayanakouji Kiyotaka who takes the assignment given to him.

High school is when it happened. Criminals start to die, and I start to be more careful of what I'm doing. But we all knew about the one who kills them all... Kira.... I don't believe the fact that he's a god like everyone says... What's more weird, other than Kira, is the fact that the top student in school, Light Yagami, wants to befriend me. College life is the next step in my life. After college I want to join the police force, work under cases and such. Kira is still going around, killing people, now starting to kill innocent people. Then, the person who I'm forced to sit with talks to me again... Light.. But I know that knowing Light... Makes me feel uneasy. Especially ever since I passed notes with him in high school. Ever since then, I saw something by his side at all times, a shinigami... Shinigami.. Gods of death... Then there's a notebook I noticed that Light had.. Death note... I think Light is Kira.. But then I meet L, a member of the group who's working on the Kira case, the best detective in Japan, the one person who hides his identity.... Can I tell him..? Can I trust him...? He seems to trust me enough to tell me that he's L. But there are a few things stuck in my head... Why did he offer me to help him? Why does he want me to help at all?
