Set in another world. A world where Eggman and Infinite have been taking over cities; left right and centre. Using continuous bombing runs from Eggmans newest robots, each programmed by Infinites crimson cubes. Eggman has sent Infinite on a number of missions to hunt down the resistance, however in this world the resistance is scattered. Scattered throughout the land and deep underground. Sonic, is Shadow's husband before Eggman had successfully took over Möbius. They had started a family, with a kid and another on the way. Being the Mobians lets ounce of defense, Shadow took it upon himself to use the last bit of Chaos Energy that he had to Chaos Blast his way through the robots that were there to capture the last remaining Mobians, but with a sacrifice like this it allowed the Mobians to escape up to safety.
