A young girl named America Lawson is a high school student from Newark, New Jersey, who missed her bus and ended up at a private school after getting on a different school bus. There she found her boyfriend at the new school. After a few months, America's family moved to Long Beach, California where she was forced to live. She had to leave so much of her past behind her. Her family had told her that she would have to move on. At the age of 16, America got a job at the beach as a life guard. She loved the job and found that the beach brought her back to life; reality. One day, she saw a handsome guy with his parents and siblings who were planning on entering the surfing competition. One of the little boys goes surfing and then disappears, the mother yelling in fear. Follow America as she finds love after saving the handsome boys brother from dying.
