A story that takes place in a rural area, It all started when an old temple was discovered, releasing numbers of ancient creatures to free-roam the land and terrorize it, the locals must combine their strengths and intelligence to fend off these creatures from destroying the farms and village and at the same time stopping it to migrate to the other states. The only way to kill the creatures is by hunting them at night. Do the locals have what it takes to take back what's theirs?

This story really starts in the middle. Ari, who often goes by A, is propped up against a tree in the middle of a forest with a dagger in her stomach. She's lost a lot of blood already, and she keeps losing more. Helios is kneeling next to her, and they're both trying to figure out what to do. I'll start at the beginning, though. Ari is a wanderer, traveller, adventurer, and lots of other things. She doesn't have a home, until one day she does. She's chased into the Akiire territory by the Akiire's enemies; the Tesera. Luckily for her, the chief of the Akiire tribe takes her in. Akiire medicine men and women fuss over her until they're sure she's safe. Then the Akiire initate her as a member of their tribe. She gladly accepts. She's started to like it there, after all. Then Helios starts talking to her. He's nothing special in the tribe. He's a good warrior, but all the warriors are good. The bad ones have already died. Nonetheless, by the time we get to the forest with the dagger and all that, A has only spoken to Helios a few times. Now he's her only way to stay alive.Complete

Of course they all loved there sons dearly, and all of the family had grown accustomed to wanting a baby sister, one to coddle and love with all their hearts, one to protect from the world and all the darkness that comes with it. So what happens when the whole fleur family goes out to eat at the local diner, and has little y/n as there waitress for the day. The ENTIRE family immediately grows an attachment to this frail girl,, and feel that if nobody else will love her, they will. They notice how she flinches when a loud noise occurs,or whinces whenever she bumps into a table. They want you in there family, they want you all to themselves to love, but how far will they go? This is a spinoff backstory for a D&D campaign based in the world from "Paladins: Champions of the Realm." Plenty of intellectual rights shenanigans here that I'm not smart enough to address, but it's all in fun. When writing I kept the theme from D&D world of "letting the characters choose wrong/useless paths to explore" as an unnecessary rule imposed on myself, which took more effort than I expected due to sidetracks, but I still enjoy the story that resulted.
