Dealing with depression and problems at home, Summer has never felt more lonely in her life. Once on top of the social pyramid, now a total outcast, Summer struggles to save her life as it begins to fall apart: her family thinks she's a psychopath, her friends have abandoned her, and now Keith,her boyfriend has decided that he can't take any more of her. A strange encounter with a stranger in the woods has changed her entire life's course. Besides her already abnormal behavior, Summer notices other strange things going on inside her: burning thirst, uncontrollable anger, and an unnatural pull to do things she had never dreamed of doing. Now she has bigger problems to worry about: a murder, done by her own hands.
