Sang is a violin prodigy flaunted by her parents to the rich and famous of Charleston's high society. Her father is in the running for senatorship. Her sister a successful socialite. Though she runs in many circles, Sang has no true "friends". None that she can trust like her for her or would want to know anything about her if she were not rich and connected. That is at least until she meets several amazing boys unlike anyone she's ever met before. They may each make her stomach quiver with a want she's never felt previously, but they also may finally be the only friends she's ever had who want to know her without ulterior motive.

The Blackbourne team are on a mission they initially thought they'd been on hundreds of times before. Tracking and stopping corruption, fraud, and embezzlement. This time though the danger stakes are raised as it's not just money going missing that shouldn't, people are going missing too - and there seems to be one commonality in all of it. High profile politician, Anthony Sorenson. In order to get close to Anthony, and to the answers they desperately need, the Blackbourne team must first get close to the family - his wife Celeste, their eldest daughter Marie, and their youngest daughter Sang.
It was all supposed to be so simple. They were supposed to get in, get the info, and get out. They were NOT supposed to get attached. They were not supposed to fall for her.
And yet, here they all were.

This is a fanfic but the plot is still my own as this is a 21 year old Sang. So this is years after Ashley Waters and Volto. The Vigilante Damsel in Distress
In this Ghostbird Fanfic Sang never makes it to Charleston, SC. Sang saves herself before ever meeting her boys. She isn't abandoned by family, she won't put up with abuse, and doesn't feel it's her duty to take care of a monster. Every victim of abuse reacts differently. I personally was defiant and refused to believe what I was told or that I deserved it. I wanted Sang to have my spirit. I wanted Sang to have even more than my spirit actually as I didn't save myself but Sang will save herself. So if Sang was never the timid bird we know her as who will she become? If she ends up knowing a normal life and allowed to mature and know healthy relationships before meeting the boys how will that go? I'll alter the boys as well. When I look back now on CL's books they come across as guys who don't like confident women and have hero complexes. I can't remember exactly what they say about the Academy girls and why they won't date them but basically it's because the girls are confident and sure of themselves and apparently that's not good? So no these guys won't be like that. The core of who they are will be the same though. I feel like the Toma team does appreciate confident women already so they won't need to be altered at all. I digress lets see how the story flows with our Sang being her own hero and the havoc she'll unleash on our boys. Finally, these characters are not my own but the plot is my own. So no stealing my plot and give all credit of characters to CL Stone. I will reference to some scenes from her books as well as the boys will still do the Ashley Waters mission and deal with Volto. The actual scenes from her books won't be in my own though just referenced in flashbacks and such.Complete
