Matthew sarcastically uttered. "I am very happy that you came back for Sabina, I thought you're a good mother after all. I was led to believe that you did that for her sake, and deep within you, a caring mother really exists. But now, knowing your daughter's worth, you're too eager to claim her fortune by dragging me into this?", he paused for a moment. "I can never fall for this. You maybe Sabina's birth mother but not until I am breathing, you can't touch anything that is hers. She doesn't deserve a fortune-hungry mother like you!" Matthew pushed Maddie so hard that she fell unto her knees. She is in pain not because her knees got scratched from her fall, she is in pain because she knew Matthew has already judged her.
