The Chicago Cold War

The Chicago Cold War is an Alternate Universe story about a 10 year old named Shelby Walker and her friend, Jasmin Keller who survives a small atomic bomb dropped by the Soviet Union on Chicago. She and her friend luckily find a nuclear bunker from nearby before the shockwave reaches them, but leaves the poor girl petrified and her friend confused and sad. With enough courage, they go out and split up to find survivors before they leave the ruins of their hometown. Shelby comes across a surviving teenager named Ted Nelson ransacking through a building and he teams up with them to find survivors and save anyone that was injured or in need of help and get off the ruins of this town and try to stop the Soviets from doing any more damage to their country.
