**The Defiled is a Dark Romance that includes triggers such as, but are not limited to: an intimate relationship between a nun/sister with an unholy male lead, blasphemy, murder of clergy members, graphic sex and language, and fornication in church/cathedral.
My breath catches in my throat when the cathedral doors creak open. I feel him before I see him. I feel him before he cruelly whispers my name.
