(School AU) (Y/n) (L/n) is a very smart young lady. She always gets good marks on her quizzes and tests. She's nice to everyone and tries to stay positive around her peers/friends/family. However, behind closed doors she tends to break down. She has an older sister with mental health issues and an older brother whom she used to confide in but he moved away and barely visited and talked to his family. This only made the girl's life worse. Her childhood friend and neighbor, Gilbert stopped talking to her as much when he started middle school, but she still hung out with Ludwig. Her mother was always stressed between being a single mom and dealing with her sister. So the girl used her studies and books as an escape method from the real world. This is a Countryhumans story about Germany and Russia. Warning: This is a slow burn. Germany is an excited and hardworking person who miraculously was accepted to one of the most prestigious universities. His foster father urges him to go to a field that is in Germany's opinion, dull and boring, as he has his own opinion on what is interesting to him. As always, there are ups and downs, but he is giddy with freedom and doesn't let anyone faze him. Until he finds that the subject his foster father wants him to pursue is a prerequisite Russia, on the other hand, is a stoic, blunt and straightforward, sometimes being aggressive and reserved. He amazingly passed the tests to be accepted to the Globally recognized university, and is ushered out of his home to get a degree to be able to help his father feed his family. he has no time for youthlike fun, frivolous adventures and romance. He expects the year to be dull but needed for his life. Both of them don't expect to become friends, and avoid eye contact. Germany then wishes to have more of the classes with Russia, just to get close. Does he succeed? That is the question.
