Luna Lupin came from a tumultous childhood filled with secrecy and a family haunted by the stigmatised illness of lycanthropy, thrown into a society that views her older brother, Remus, with suspcion and fear. She's used to being seen as a second option and afterthought. However, when the one person that she fancied, Sirius Black, breaks off the secret arrangement he had with her, Luna decides she's done with it. So it's through a plot of revenge that she finally approaches her Astronomy tutor, Regulus Black, for a fake relationship. Regulus Black, the one who had been born the spare, had been suddenly been thrown into the spotlight when his brother Sirius ran away, leaving him to learn to be the Heir of the House alone. Keen to find a way to hurt his brother, he accepts the most ludicrous plot. But if he is to do it, he's to do it right. Regulus and Luna find themselves swimming in deeper waters than they expected, esnared in a web of lies, secrets and painful truths, but they are not to let go of one another. WARNING: This story may be uncomfortable for some readers, for it includes themes such as DOMESTIC ABUSE, CHILD ABUSE and (although in lighter tones) EATING DISORDERS, amongst other heavy subjects that might be triggering. Let's rewind... It's 1976 and Regulus is returning for his fifth year at Hogwarts. With one of the worst summers of his life behind him, he's slightly glad to be back at the castle. Regulus is looking forward to a relaxing year spent focusing on his studies and lounging in the library. Only, Regulus' plans are derailed after runs into (quite literally) the one and only James Potter. It seems passing the year is the least of Regulus' problems- with the dark lord's influence growing into his inner circle, new blossoming feelings for his brother's best friend who he should hate, and a prank that goes too far. Regulus is in for a bumpy ride.

Set in an alternate world. AKA no magic ~~~ Walburga and Regulus have lived in America for three years. First moved from London due to Walburga's job. After three years Walburga is told to go back to London but Regulus doesn't want to leave and proposes Sirius comes to care for him in America. Walburga agrees and Sirius comes to America where he reunites with his old friends James, Peter, Lily, and Marlene. He also meets Regulus's new friend Remus Lupin who was a friend of James' after Sirius left. This story takes place in Hogwarts' 7th year. Regulus is Sirius' younger brother, exactly one year behind them, James couldn't expect that an innocent talk in the astronomy tower would lead to fall for him hopelessly, and neither did the young Black. But love doesn't stop time, nor does it save people. It's like a beautiful scarlet rose, as its petals fall, it dies. When that letter found its way to my hands, the music died. i'm gonna try to write a proper description. don't take this seriously at all really i wrote this for a laugh that's all (i was also 14 so i don't recommend this its kinda cringy) crackfic fr this is not a full on texting story, there's some real life action going on and also some texting in the middle of some chaps. :) in which regulus black has a crush on his brothers best friend and met a nice strange online who understands what he's feeling. what regulus didn't know though is that this stranger, is not a stranger at all. also cover by @-raslikeraspberry- <3

The Blacks want to marry off their youngest child. He begs Sirius for help and tells him a secret: He is a man and would rather die than be forced to be anyone's wife. Panicked, Sirius arranges a marriage between his brother and his friend James Potter, knowing that Regulus can be the man he is in the English countryside in James' estate, which is a sort of safe haven for homosexual servants who are running from the law or are already convicted. James wants to ensure Regulus' happiness, even at the expense of putting his life on hold for a while. Regulus wants to ensure James doesn't fall into societal ruin because of him. Sirius just wants to help. And Remus is just a very tired butler who watches James and Regulus dance around their actual feelings (literally). (Trans Reggie; set in the Victorian Age, 1890s. Now, Sirius has made new friends and left his family in the past. Regulus knew things were different the moment Sirius didn't come home for the holidays in his first year. Now, Regulus is at Hogwarts, although his and his Gryffindor brother's relationship is completely different. Eventually, Regulus starts getting dragged along to the Marauderers hangouts and develops feelings for his brother's best friend. (Bare with me, the first 10 or so chapters are probably crap but it gets better) Tw: Please be aware of the fact that there may be intended mention of child abuse at certain points throughout the fic but I never directly write it.
