How do you know when it's all over? 

For me it's over when those green eyes that once gleamed at me go dull. It's when those eyes glaze over with tears as he realises what he has done. He'll probably be petrified as he feels his blood drain away along with his life. Maybe he'll simply make peace with death as he stares it in the face, darkness clouding his vision or moving towards the light. I don't know where they go when they're gone. All I know is I feel that familiar rush of adrenaline as my knife slashes their throat, or my finger pulls that trigger. This time I'll switch it up, make it more of a performance. A showdown with this cowboy, the finale ending with his silver chain cutting off his windpipe and splitting his skin for added dramatics.

Hoping to shake this human off once and for all, I twisted my body around rapidly with a plan to put my words into action. When I was on my way to push this man as deep into the floor as possible my body all of the sudden went rigid. When my body froze solid, so did my brain.
