Years into the future after Shadow the Hedgehog's--who is now long forgotten--death, a seemingly ordinary person is being haunted by dreams (Visions? Memories? Hallucinations?) of a girl asking him to make a promise. Oftentimes, the dreams would only occur once or twice a month, leaving him shaken and generally more bitter than usual, yet... They seemed to be occurring more often than ever before. Coincidentally, he's also having to come to terms with the fact that he so obviously has developed a massive crush with his rival, Sonic The Hedgehog, and that he also has to work with him. How on earth he's going to deal with this? Chaos knows. Or Stupid alien hedgehog has nightmares about his sister while also having feelings for his rival and it's affecting the hell outta him!!
