To the Salvatores and their good friend nothing was different. Everything was as it was and how it should be, but the day Kathrine Peirce stepped into Mystic falls is the day that their lives became different.
Anna was alone and suffering through the death of her mother and her good friend. The only thing she had left was her promise to help the daughter of her best friend's family to stay alive, and that's what she did. But of course, living a human life means that you grow older, and with growing older you eventually die. But, through the next hundred and so years, Anna would take care of the generations that followed and when the oldest child turns eighteen, she would go with them to their new life. She saw many find happiness, find love, find heart break, get a job, get married, and eventually they would have their own children. Anna made sure to keep her word and never leave them, and for six generations there were no problems.

She had thought that when she transitioned then she would lose her magic; she rarely used it before since she didn't have any magic to siphon when she moved to Mystic Falls. But that wasn't the craziest thing that she discovered. "Damon!" she screamed. He sped to their bedroom, "What?! What happened?!" She was standing naked in front of the mirror. He smirked, "Do you want to make love in front of the mirror again?" She shook her head as she stood there trembling, he hands placed delicately on her stomach, "something's wrong. Listen." He walked closer to her and focused his hearing; he heard four heartbeats in the house. But they were the only two present. "What is that?" She slowly turned to him to show her small baby bump, "I think my magic saved them." Damon gaped at her in awe and confusion.
