Copper-9, an exoplanet with minerals to mine and a cheap, easy-to-make work force to mine them: Worker Drones.
With Worker Drones comes Disassembly Drones, their "natural" predators. Sent from beyond to slaughter all of the cowardly workers who hide in bunkers for fear of death.
Except Mallory.
The bastard only stays inside to sleep all day in a nice warm bed and gives lip to anyone that wakes him up.
So when a surprisingly short Murder Drone waltzes right into the bunker, panic ensues, and panic makes noise, and noise tends to wake people up.

Worker Drones are sentient robots created by a company called JcJenson with the purpose of revolutionizing multiple work fields. Let it be mining, transporting, or other types of services, these drones could (probably) do it. This was great for humans! A nine to five would quickly become a ten to four, while keeping, if not even increasing the pay. Yes, they were abused, but who would complain about it if it's just so goddamn profitable?! No one. No one would willingly go back to their nine to five. Only a small minority would speak out against it, seeing the worker drones as more than just objects to be used. If only everyone knew that humanity's behavior would also become its downfall... And then there is Y/N. A normal human, living in Germany. His strength is "computer stuff", as people call it, by which they mean coding. He also has other specialty's, like being lazy, the ability to have an excuse for (almost) everything, and staying undetected and blending into a crowd to a certain degree. N learns of the companies lies, and defects alongside V joining Uzi and other characters along the way to survive the purge of the company. --- This is a murder drones AU I made out of boredom focusing on survival and random scifi non-sense. 3 months after Cyn's defeat, Copper 9 has gone through a lot of changes that have happened. Uzi gained her dad's respect, she gets to reunite with her mom, V and Uzi became mutual friends, N and she became a thing. Most of all, a happy ending. which leads to a new beginning for them. Elise Juniper, a Worker Drone in Core 24 travels across the stars to Uzi's home planet with her friend and partner in crime, Prototype Sven. She initially arrives on Copper 9 to look for older brother, believing he may be pursuing on a path of self reflection there, until one night she meets Uzi, N and V. Reminders 1. Since Murder Drones belongs to Liam Vickers and the Glitch Productions, this story isn't canon, hence why it's considered fanfiction. 2. Uzi Doorman, Serial Designation N, and Serial Designation V, along with the other known characters of Murder Drones all belong to Liam Vickers, therefore the characters aren't mine. 3. Year 3071. Exoplanet Steel-1, the only planet in the system along with it's moon, was once a site for mass drone production factory called "Chimera's Dawn" by the JC Jenson company, later modified into a secret research facility, renamed to "Chimera's Fall", to investigate what caused the destruction of Earth and reason behind drones turning against humanity. Few years after the events on the Earth, something known as "The Absolute Solver" created a deadly energy shockwave on Steel-1, resulted in planet's decaying state, annihilated all humans, destroyed most of the machinery, and deactivated or damaged most of the drones on the planet. The surviving worker drones have established a survival base in an abandoned Communications and Surveillance Center called the "Steel Eye".
