Ok here's the summary It's an AU where people can see all the colors except the color of their soulmates eyes. In johns case, he can't see red. In Daves case, he can't see blue. And for them to actually see the color, they have to see eachothers eyes. Since Dave is an ignorant shit he wears shades and doesn't ever take them off.
