With the absence of the humans, the Boggards, cannabilistic toad folk who rule the swamp, had free reign to take over what was left of the Sodden Lands. The Boggards tribes in their rise to power, comitted a grave heresy. Many amongst them saw this destructive force as divinely created, attributing it's creation to Rovagug, the Great Destroyer. A holy war broke out, and almost completely wiped out the old faith. Only one tribe remains, the last worshippers of Gogunta, the Mother of Boggards.
