Nihonkoku Shoukan: Beyond
After 2 major wars against two galactic superpowers, and the Garmillas refugee crisis of 2205, Japan, a part of the Earth Federation, now is seeing true peace. The rebuilding process is happening smoothly, with cooperation between citizens from all walks of life, between the Garmillian refugees and Terrans, and even the famous Shinkansen Maglev system is also rebuilt. However, one day, the people on the land of Japan woke up to a foreign sight. No known constellation, familiar stars, the moon, and neighboring landmass could be detected. Facing them is a planet of unknown, magic, and of possibility. Facing the crisis of transference, the people united once more, and again, the name Japan is re-recognized as a country. Her diplomatic corps is sent out on the rebuilt Japan Cosmo Navy ships, heading toward unknown lands, and contacting the nations of the new world. The politic of the new world however is a quagmire full of arrogance, hostility, and imperialism. "If diplomacy fails, then defend ourselves, we must" - proclaimed the newly appointed provisional PM of Japan, Heikuro Todo. The story of Nihonkoku Shoukan Beyond will follow Japan in the world of Space Battleship Yamato (2199/2202/2205) after their transference to the new world. This story is inspired by the original NHS and fanfics like Summoning America by DrDoritosMD. It will feature similar plots to the OG NHS by Minorou and the fanfics by other creators I have the pleasure to read. With this as my first English fanfic novel, please don't be too harsh. As it is a pet project of mine, it may not get updated regularly, updated at weird hours, or be subjected to changes and fixes without notice. Edited by @RadjaDawamindra. I wrote this for EVERYONE. To appeal to anyone that reads ANY genre. It combines almost all of them. It's an introduction to the Worlds of Within universe. When you get to the action parts (which doesn't take long) you should be invested enough to want to unravel the mysteries and enjoy its intrigue... The flood is raging. A terrifying, heartless mountain of water, swallowing the world . The tunnel networks? Of course, that won't save them. The forests? Like leaves in a breeze. The lookout towers and trade hubs? Gone. Washed clean. Every home, every last trace of what once was. Gamleon is the first to see it ... and survive. His mind is near collapse, his heart broken. He runs. What would YOU do? What could anyone do? Some scrape by in a mythological setting of beasts and medieval men. Cruel, literally cold-blooded Gorgon hordes enforce an absolute rule slithering in the tunnels beneath the feet of every kingdom. There is an isolated, forgotten place. Gamleon, our weary adventurer, is a paradox: terrifying to some perhaps, yet his heart and intent is helpful, with a quiet dignity bordering on noble, intimidating and innately intelligent. Collide: Two Realities Become One
March 17, 2023.. The day of reckoning that has fallen into this world, whoever created this event surely wants our existence to cease.. I dont know who they are, I don't know what they are, they're creatures that look like humans. But they tamed steel itself forging iron warships that radiates fear and destruction, war machines unlike any other. Just.. who are they? Are they even human.. I cant explain what sort of atrocities have i seen, men die gruesomely, more violent than any war i have ever witnessed. Gore flies out of the mangled corpses of the fallen, and yet despite all dead the destruction still reigns, its horrifying to say the least.. i fear that whoever awakened this sleeping giant.. has filled it.. with terrible.. terrible.. resolve.. By the gods.. make my soul rest easy from this hell on earth, as i take account for my sins... We need the war to end, before the war will end us..
