Cory, who Anaya strongly cares for, is a strong fighter and leader of the Fortitudine.  When rebel armies such as the Potestas begin asking the Fortitudine to give them Cory in order to have peace, Cory is killed by the Fortitudine to stop the controversy.  His loved one, Anaya, is so angered by this that she turns on everyone and everything.  Soon, Anaya is begging to help the Potestas and seek revenge on the Fortitudine for killing Cory.  Anaya is familiar with a lot of the Fortitudine's war plans, and with this knowledge she causes pain and suffering to everyone.  Nothing can stop her... until she figures out one piece of information that throws everything haywire.
