"Until my last breath" is a fictional story set in Toscana (Tuscany), Italy in the early 1900's. This book follows the lives of Lorenzo and Giovanni, who are two young best friends that have innocent fun as kids and as they grow up they realise how dark and dangerous the world really is. The people they meet, the things they do and the things they see, will benefit or disadvantage their own lives.
There is one thing to remember, they don't live in a fairytale, they live in the real world.
The book is written from the perspective of Lorenzo, therefore the writing gets better and more descriptive as he grows up, since his ability to communicate becomes stronger.
"Until my last breath" touches on friendship, trust, love, jealousy and darkness.
