Here I am. On my knees for her, once more. And it's only for her. It has always been for her.

She sat at the foot of the bed as I looked up at her. "You must think I am insane," I tell her. "I know that I must."

"No," she shook her head. "Honestly, if anything, that might be the most sane thing I've heard so far, actually," her voice was calm, just like the steadiness of her heartbeat.

Confusion washed over my face. "What do you mean?"

Her hand passes through her hair, letting it fall onto her face. "For the past few weeks I thought I was going insane. I had been seeing things from my dreams that felt so real that I couldn't tell what was real or not."

My hand reached for her hair and I placed the piece behind her ear. Her gaze met mine. "And the most common thing was you. You appeared in every single dream." She looked down at her fidgeting fingers. "Well, now I know they aren't just dreams."

The pit of my unbeatable heart cracked slightly. "I wished I could've been more careful."

She placed her hand on my cheek. "I'm glad that you didn't."

She leaned towards me, tilting her head slightly, and kissed my lips softly.

I knew the kiss wasn't going to be soft and sweet, for this kiss turned deeply, almost downright deadly. Especially for how she is being pinned by me on the bed.
