i've memorized every detail of her face, down to the concave of her dimples, whenever she lit my world with that infectious smile of hers. i detailed every facial movement, every pore, on the canvas with prominence: the way her eyes glittered when she locked eyes with my girls; the slight out-of-place hairs and the long white strip split down the middle of her scalp; the glow of her glossed lips; the whiteness of her teeth; her golden hour deep-toned skin that was as thick and smooth as
melted chocolate.

she was a sight for sore eyes and the longer i spent watching her dance around my kitchen with my daughters and documenting the beauty of it-the art of it-the lighter i felt on earth, the stronger and rawer my emotions were and then it hit me. right there in my heart the moment she twirled and locked eyes with me, a smile so mind-melting, eyes so hypnotizing, and a laughter so melodious.

i was in love.

truly, utterly, and undeniably, in love with niara livingston. and shit was it the scariest most beautiful feeling ever. but i've spent too long denying and i was tired of holding back, holding us back. so without a moment's thought, i stood from the stool and mindlessly-leisurely-walked to the kitchen, taking my time to drink her all in, my beauty of realization
and all that i've ever yearned in life.
