The sirens grow louder and the lights grow brighter in her peripheral. She can hear the sounds of doors shutting behind her as the sirens stop. 

"Lucy!" Jackson yelps.

His voice is fuzzy and almost inaudible. She doesn't look back as he continues screaming at her from a distance, but she's snapped out of her trance when a friendly hand meets her hip.

Lucy's head veers over her shoulder to meet Nolan's eyes. He's silently pleading for her to get the hell off of this bridge before he has a heart attack.

Lucy's kidnapping takes a huge toll on her, but her friends are there to catch her when she falls. (Figuratively.)
