Hades suffers heartbreak eternal after Persephone leaves him for another. After years of loneliness, Hades is drawn to the mortal world in search of something new, someone new. He takes a professorship at a university to break up his monotonous routine. It is in his last year of professorship that he finds a spark of interest in a young woman enrolled in his mythology lecture. He sees potential in her and gives her the offer of her lifetime.
