"Oh, I never asked. Is purple your favourite color?"
"No."
"Then what?"
"Huh, does it matter?"
There it is, the husky, nonchalant tone that drives me insane. In good ways and bad.
"Fine."
He sighed. "I don't have a favourite color..."
"Forget I asked."
"...Rather, a gradience. Like, the unnoticeable transition from sunset to dusk."
I roll my eyes. "Poetic, but try making sense for a change."
"It's indescribable in words-" He reaches over to my makeup drawer. "-but if you're so interested, I'll show you."
I am flipped within seconds, now trapped beneath him and the light smirk tugging at his lips. He leans down, closer, his purple locks brushing my nose, his hot breath fanning my skin.
I feel myself flush with heat.
His large hand cradles my head and he points a mirror at my face with his other.
"Atsushi-"
"Watch closely now, sweetheart. One blink and you might just miss it."
By the time his lips were pressed against my neck, the mirror had already witnessed a frenzy of colors dance across my cheeks.
To be exact, a rosy pink to burning red gradient.
