Both the Luminous Tribe and the Lunar Kin have been at peace for generations, that is until the new successor, Glare is born. Others think she is unusual for a successor because her first instincts are to help every cat in the Luminous tribe, both weak and strong, even the cats in the Lunar kin. Cats are beginning to think something is wrong with her, she must make a swift move before her father begins to think she's not fit enough to become the next Shimmer.
