Addison Zoey Phillips, more known as Addy, was a police officer with Rick Grimes and Shane Walsh before the apocalypse. Addy, Rick and Shane are very close friends despite the fact Shane and Addy had dated but broken up, also that Addy knows Shane has a crush on Lori (Rick's wife and mother of his son, Carl). What Addy thinks is worse is that Lori has cheated on Rick before which makes Shane think he has a chance.
Rick knew Lori had had an affair a year before the story starts, he thought about leaving her but he did still love her and he didn't want Carl to have to deal with divorced parents. He didn't realise at first but he started to catch feelings for Addy. He never acted on these feelings as he was loyal to his wife but he couldn't stop how he felt.
Rick had trained Addy to be a cop when she was a rookie and now she was a partner in most of his cases along with Shane. He didn't tell anyone how he felt about Addy.
Addy also had feelings for Rick but she wouldn't dare act on them with a married man, she also would never tell anyone of them, she wouldn't want her feelings getting out and ruining her friendship with Rick.

If anyone has ever watched The Rookie Rick and Addy's relationship as police will be like Lucy Chen's and Tim Brad Ford's, except they wont be boyfriend and girlfriend, they will be just friends.
This book will include character bashing, flashbacks of the past (before the apocalypse started), talk of trauma and traumatic events also blood, death and zombies/walkers.
