Do You Forfeit?

Two destined paths are found intertwined once more; though not in the best circumstances. The question is; do they forfeit their pathway for a second time?

Finn; a career driven engineer determined to prioritise his career and country is met with a complication as he finds himself on an unintentional date with Olivia, his school sweetheart. With such a complicated past, and now complicated present, the two are faced with the dilemma of what to do or say next. All they know is they have many years of pathways without each other to catch up on.

The difference between work and life can be a thin line. But at what point do you unblur the lines and truly live?

"Do you forfeit?" He bellowed into my ear drums as I hunched breathlessly in the dirt.
"No Lieutenant!" I grunted, staggering to my feet and breaking into a sprint down the field for the sixth lap in the pouring rain, my lungs ready to cave in.

"Do you forfeit?" She raises a brow, threatening the blade to my throat.
"Fine." I smiled, grasping her close to me as we both broke into a chuckle. She's a breath of fresh air, I thought.
