Seventeen year old Dmitri Volkovf is looking for an out. He lives in a run down trailer near the high school with his abusive father and is desperate to escape any way he knows how, surprised to find it in the gentle-natured Nicodemus Anders. Nicodemus is a poetic nineteen year old, who appears to have everything (though lonely at heart.) The two quickly form an unlikely friendship, but Dmitri's self destructive nature rears it's ugly head as Nicodemus tries to hold on to what they have together, while freeing him from his abusive father's grasp.
