Not Like Other Girls

After finally accepting that simply deciding I didn't want to be a girl anymore wasn't a valid option in my life, I had to give in and try my best to be one instead. When I was thirteen, I didn't know what to say or how to flirt with guys, I had bad skin and frizzy hair unlike them - the other girls - who seemed to have it all figured out. And I didn't have a boyfriend. Which, when you enter your early teens during the Gossip Girl era, where having a different guy chasing you every other day seems to be the norm, is a literal death sentence.
