Johnny Cade was always the baby of the gang, the weak, the somewhat laughing stock and looked down upon from the rest. The beatings from his parents and his uncaring girlfriend didn't help his self esteem problems. Suicide always came to his mind as a result. He thought that no one really cared for him but the gang. But one warm summer day a girl gets out of a Detention Centre for her illegal actions. Johnny soon discovers she was a friend of the gang's before she got put in, Johnny claims that he never met her, but when they meet, she takes Johnny on a emotion roller coaster with mountain top highs and drastic lows, he decided he couldn't stand her. But as time went on he slowly felt developed feelings for this obnoxious, burn-out girl.
