A somewhat techy girl, Carmen Kennedy builds a time machine in hopes of seeing her father once more, but something goes wrong and she ends up at the front door of a suburban family's house, in the year 1977. She'll have to navigate through this fun loving time, but she'll also have to face the pressure of simply being herself, a black girl, during this time period. All she can do is be stuck, and we'll see what this brings!

He returns to help run his family's multi-billion dollar businesses. He has no clue what happened to Maya or where she is. Maya has no clue where Knox is or that he has the means to get her out of her current situation. She works hard, she's determined and she survives all that life is throwing her way. She grows as an independent, confident woman with something to prove. Her luck turns around when her family is accepted as refugees to America. Will she look for Knox? How will they meet?
