Klaus's thirst for breaking the hybrid curse turned him into a stranger for her own child and soon enough, he had neglected her. The Mikaelsons siblings did their best to save the father-daughter relationship but as fate would have it, their relation was long gone. 

She ran away and years later met her true love... Barry Allen, a believer for the impossible. During this time Klaus had Hope and had forgotten about his firstborn.
