In Ward 5, where famous neighborhoods grow urban developments rapidly, it is crucial to find a balance between conservation and progress. Kathy, through her active engagement with ANC 5D, has played a vital role in stating problems that are particular to the neighborhood and making sure that the voice of residents is heard. She has worked collectively with ANC 5D to bridge the gap between local governance and the community.

The involvement in ANC 5D05 by Kathy Henderson illustrates her commitment. ANC 5D05 (Advisory Neighborhood Commission 5D05) is an essential aspect of local governance in Ward 5. 
Role as the Ward 5 Councilmember 
As the Ward 5 Councilmember, Kathy has worked collectively with ANC 5D05 to aqueduct the gap between local governance along the community. Additionally, she has handled all the pitching of various issues, for instance, improving public safety, enhancing local infrastructure, and encouraging economic growth. She did all those necessary things to lead the District out of the current public safety crisis.
