Trapped in their secluded farm house in the countryside, the Todd's were not too affected by the breakout, but then again, life had been hell to begin with. 

The family of four became a family of three when the Todd children's mother passed away leaving the two girls with their unstable father. Separated from any close town or city, the only neighbours they had was their Nana who lived in a nearby cottage. 

When the dead began to rise, Emerson Todd realised the best way to survive was to join their Nana who had moved to live with the family friends, the Greens. But survival was never easy. It never had been.
