Of Knights, Damsels, and Mysterious Creatures

This is a fanfiction based off of Marc and Nate's drawings in the episode titled "Gabriel Agreste" (season 4, episode 9). Certain dynamics have been changed, as well as some plot points, but since this is an AU I think that's fine.

Ever since the death of Queen Emilie two years ago, her husband Gabriel has ruled the kingdom of Etserga with an iron fist. His stepson, Adrien , desperately wants to experience the outside world again, but the powerful mage won't let him. Fortunately, there's the perfect person to rescue him from this eternal hell: Marinette Dupain-Cheng, an aspiring knight also known as Ladybug, who's determined to set things in this country right (and maybe fall in love somewhere along the way).
