Vampires and werewolves exist, but why do humans never find out? behind all the little tricks and illusions there is something deeper and simpler to this answer. A chosen protector.
In a village far to the South of the Vampire kingdom they hold a festival to decide the next in line to train and become the protector of the vampires, they are charged with keeping the vampires world a secret to humanity and to face any threat to their existence, even if that threat is another vampire consumed by bloodlust. On this day of the choosing, a pure blood Vampire arrives at midnight to exchange blood with one who processes the qualities needed.
Angelina was 8 the night of the festival when her family stumbled into the village, with the strange twisted fate she was choosing for this position of protector. She trained until she was 330, and by then her looks had stopped her aging making her look like she was 19.
Her master and the previous protector told her to investigate a strange incline of vampire disappearances in the vampire kingdom, but what she soon uncovers in the underground tunnels of the ancients is far darker then even she imagined. However she finds out that fate still isn't done with her yet.... This is her first time revealing her true identity to the vampires, and what better time then for fate to do a little matchmaking? Will she accept the bonds of eternity? Or will her past make an ugly appearance....?

It is said that only the special humans get werewolf mates. Human mates aren't usually frowned upon in most packs, but as for The Larken Moon pack it's forbidden to claim and accept a human mate. Have you ever thought that vampires existed? When you think of vampires, do garlic and stakes come to mind? Well, vampires do exist, but we are not what you think. Vampires aren't just blood-craving monsters who hunt humans; we are peaceful. We do have sharp fangs, that much is true, but we aren't allergic to garlic; in fact, some of us love it, myself included. We don't burst into flame, or melt in the sunlight, and we definitely do not sparkle in the sun either. As vampires, we live for thousands, and sometimes even hundreds of thousands of years (if a pesky, self-righteous human doesn't drive a stake into our heart first...). I am not young by vampire terms. New and young vampires, are "Newlings". Until a vampire is at least one hundred years old, they can't turn a human into a vampire, and are considered a Newling. But I'm what we call a "Maturling". Maturlings are at least a century old. In vampire years, I'm one hundred, on the dot. Though in human years, I'm about twenty-one. There is a third category of vampires called "Purelings". Purelings are vampires who have always been － well, vampires, － and have never had a single human in their family tree. Purelings, unlike all other vampires, can turn a human at any age. (Imagine being turned into a vampire by a toddler... yikes). Like with all cultures, there are things that are forbidden. For vampires, we are not allowed, by any means, to turn a human out of spite, or if they refuse to be one of us, but when feelings are surface, they can change things forever...Complete

Being trapped inside one place most of your life is suffocating. So I took it upon myself to go behind my mother's back every chance I got to leave. I never thought that one day I would be caught.
