    Alec slowly approached the edge. Gazing down into the shimmering dark waters, he ran his fingers over the cool metal of the railing of the Brooklyn bridge. He stepped over it and held on like his life depended on it.

It's Friday the 13th. Magnus is late for work. Again because of his cat. He's locking up his apartment when he gets a phone call that he's been fired. Alec was supposed to move into his new apartment that day, but the landlord left him the wrong key. Alec has been sitting on the stairs outside the apartment for an hour and a half. This is the moment when their paths cross. NOTE: So it all started when I saw this picture. I immediately put aside the other 2 stories I was writing, and started this one. I look into his eyes and there are the stories. This pic is driving me crazy. (The pictures used in this book are taken from the internet. Credit to the rightful owner.)
