A young man loses everything in mere moments and even seems to lose himself. Decimating everyone and everything in a fit of heartbroken rage, Adrien is left with nothing and no one to ever help him at one for the losses that will forever haunt him.

It's a short story that I wrote in a moment of needing to get something written. I'm very impressed with how it turned out. I wrote this before I was hit with writers block.

In an Alternative Universe (AU), Adrien Agreste is a young 16-year-old boy born with a very rare sickness that can only be caused by magic. Not just any magic however, but magic from the peacock miraculous. Due to this, Adrien has spent almost all of his childhood at home under his fathers and mother's care. However, Adrien has a secret identity. He is Cat Noir and fights with her in Paris. Marinette Dupain-Cheng is a normal girl with a normal life. She has a crush like every other 16-year-old girl and tries to come up with plans to confess. However, she too has a secret identity that no one can know of. On top of being the guardian of said identity. Only one person knows her secret identity. The closer they get to figuring out who Hawk Moth is, the more complicated their life gets. Feelings get in the way, secrets get revealed. And control slips more and more away causing the two to become enslaved. Will they manage to survive? Will they defeat Hawk Moth? Never talk with your mouth full, never step to the right when you're meant to go left, never look up when you are not told to, never speak without permission. Adrien Agreste is always silenced. Gabriel Agreste, his father (not dad; never dad), has conditioned him to stay silent and sit on the back burner, while he takes everything by the reins. From his studies, to his internet access, to his social interactions-down to the very outfit he wears. He is controlling of his son's life, but his son is used to it. Because when you're Adrien Agreste, you learn to be silent. You learn to sit up straight, to act right, to comply without words, to obey, to be perfect (not good; never good). You learn to chew before even moving your lips and covering your mouth to do so, to follow your father step by step and never break from the routine, to look down and only look up if called, to speak when spoken to. Candle In The Wind - Miraculous Ladybug Movie Rewrite
Someone was screaming. A horrific, guttural sound that infected the entire night with sorrow. He wondered if it was the ghosts of the people he'd just killed. He wondered if they'd come back to haunt him, to follow his every waking move, to never let him forget the way he'd demolished them into dust. The sound pounded through his head, threatening to burst open his eardrums, determined to push him to a breaking point. Collapsing to his knees, Chat Noir had to pause to draw in a deep breath. It was only then that he realized the person screaming was him. -- Essentially a rewrite of the Miraculous movie, for people who liked the film well enough but it didn't quite meet their expectations--- But in this version: Adrien is the main focus instead, the Love Square is reversed, all the characters retain their TV-show personalities (meaning Plagg is not an annoying fart joke), the plot is way more insane, and the themes are a helluva lot... darker. (Also, the songs are somehow still included?? I just rewrote them to fit the opposite character-- but they're easy enough to ignore if you really hate songfics.)Complete

The times when magic was commonplace had been long forgotten. And even if rumours of the supernatural do surface from time to time, Marinette isn't one to believe controversies, even if her own life has a few rather peculiar aspects to it. Adrien, on the other hand, is the controversy itself, powerful enough to destroy everything in his way if he chooses to do so. The only thing he wishes for, though, is for the soulmate he meets every night in his dreams to remember him upon waking up... something that might just come true after a rather unexpected visitor and an absurd demand from his father force Adrien to leave the life he knew behind in hopes of finding the one person that can help him regain control of his life. *** Thank you for taking interest in this story.
