Atlas Johnson finds herself thinking this same question constantly.
What could she do to stop her feelings for her long time best friends who come to Cousins beach every Summer?
Atlas Johnson is the youngest of the 5 teens, she has known the Fisher boys, Belly and Steven ever since she could remember. She's had feelings for Jeremiah since they were children.
Atlas could remember the first time she noticed her crush on Jeremiah. It was the thanksgiving when Jeremiah was 11. Atlas had just turned 9, and Jeremiah had just gotten a new haircut a few days earlier.
She couldn't help but wonder why she felt bubbles inside her stomach. It was the first time the Fishers came to cousins at Atlas's home. They were so used to only coming to the Cousins beach house. It was the year of firsts.
That summer, Atlas told Belly of her small crush on Jeremiah. Belly then confessed her crush on Conrad, and then on they made a pack that Conrad and Belly would get married and Jeremiah would marry Atlas.
It was perfect, Belly and Atlas had no conflicts with each other crush wise. They both knew dibs and took it very seriously.
Until the summer Belly got her braces removed and got contacts. Everything changed that summer, the boys paid more attention to Belly, leaving Atlas to the side.
I mean how could they not leave Atlas to the side, nothing really changed for her. Atlas was still the same old Allie. She got her braces removed, but she never had glasses or an awkward phase.
This story is about how Atlas Johnson handles mentality, and change. How her best friends never noticed their Atlas wilting away like a decaying rose. Atlas faces jealousy, depression, anxiety, love and heartbreak.
(Atlas is only a few months younger than Belly, since Belly's birthday is in Summer, Atlas is in November.)
Summer I turned pretty season's 1 and 2, mostly everything will be all made up though until season 3.
