Blackness. I'm sure we all get used to this as we sleep. The darkness as children we fear, when we never want to shut our eyes. We close our eyes into darkness at night as we doze off to sleep. The darkness of our minds, souls, bodies. Soft blankets pulled up around your chin, soft pillows under your scalp. No matter what we still see darkness. Yet, patterned against the blackness on the back of your eyelids, green and blue and orange patterns bounce off your irises, creating light.
Even in the darkest places, there is hope. There is a light.

I looked up at him, unsure of what just happened. I saw the blood glistening off of his gold H ring as he pushed my hair out of my face, scanning my eyes, making sure I was okay. "You should go back inside and find your friends. Go home and lock your doors." He said as he turned to walk away. "Wait!" I said weakly. He reached the end of the ally and turned around. "I don't even know your name." He paused, his eyes locking on mine before simply saying, "I'm Harry." then turning back around and disappearing into the night. a history in rust // h.s. au
The thing about your first love is that even after it destroys you and you hide it away in the back of your closet, behind your old high school yearbooks and your winter sweaters, you can't quite forget about it. You pull it out every once in a while and turn it over in your hands and let it take you back to another time and place, Kensington Gardens in a thunderstorm, Oxford Circus at Christmas, the hottest spring day the city's ever seen. And you feel it. Frozen fingers and a sunburned nose and wet hair sticking to your face, and you know that being over it is harder than it seems.Completa
Stockholm Syndrome (Larry Stylinson)
My heart was beating and adrenaline was running through my body at a thousand miles per second. My hand wrapped around the door knob, but then I was pulled back painfully by my arm. I was whipped around and was face to face with a pissed off Louis. "Where do you think you're going, love?" He asked, and I gulped at how dark his voice sounded. The sane part of me was absolutley terrified of it, and I didn't like it, but the part of me that thought Louis was incredible was so turned on by his dark side. "Answer the question." He said as he squeezed my wrist tighter, and I winced a bit, but I didn't answer the question. "Were you trying to leave? Were you trying to run away from me?" He asked, and I felt his nails digging into my skin. I gave a small yelp of pain and then he was dragging me harshly by my arm down the hall again. He passed the room that I was staying in before and opened another door that was three doors down. He pushed me inside, and I couldn't see a thing. The room was completely dark. I began to breath faster because I've never been a big fan of the dark. I hated it. I didn't like what I couldn't see. I jumped as I felt a hand on my waist and my breath caught as I felt a surge of electricity run through me. I felt him pull me closer to him until my back was against his chest. His lips rubbed against my ear and he slowly whispered out "You can't leave, Harry. You're never gonna get away. I'm not gonna let you."Completa

"I've been trying to hide my depression these past few days, but it seems all too obvious to everyone. I have only made a few "minor" changes. Its been chilly so I went shopping, and when I came back, I noticed that every piece of clothing was black or a dark grey. I also had a longing to get a tattoo. I spotted this dark shop and entered it. After a while, they asked what I wanted. I told them a black hollow star, Because its exactly how I felt. I've burnt out of the happiness I once contained. I felt empty. I also began cutting again, but that was something only I knew." Yeah.Completa
