Outnumbered. Outran.

This isn't the beginning yet.

The Rising unravels the start of a zombie apocalypse, turning the lives of a group of graduating students upside down. Unable to grasp the changes immediately, they are forced to work together while reminiscing about and fixing their troubled past.

Amari - a scarred young girl who lives in an abusive household - goes on a suicide mission with Mark to find their friends. During this mission, she discovers a strange occurrence among the risers as the moon becomes full. The horde appears to be marching in a circular motion like a herd of sick sheep. She calls this phenomenon "The Rising." The risers also become stronger, faster, and hungrier flesh-eaters, and Amari knows that if the Rising is disturbed, she may never see the light of day again.
